French PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES FEES
Fees and rates are consistent with guidelines suggested by the Ontario Psychological Association reflecting Mayerling Hurtado’s education, years of professional experience, and specific clinical focus. Note that there is no HST added on clinical services.
Fees for services are charged on an hourly basis at the rate of $240 per 60 minutes of psychological treatment (50-minute session time plus 10-minute for preparation and documentation of your care).
It is usually recommended to have a longer first session in order for you to have enough time to provide the relevant information, and for the psychologist to explore sufficient details of your situation. If you would like to schedule a longer first appointment, please request a 75m session at the time of scheduling the first session. The fee will be set accordingly, depending on the length of the appointment (based on the hourly rate).

Important information:
- Our services are not covered by the OHIP or RAMQ. However, most extended insurance plans will reimburse Psychological services. The remaining, non-reimbursed fees may be claimed as a medical expense on your tax returns.
- We accept self-referrals or referrals from other professionals. Please note that some extended health carriers require a physician’s referral before providing reimbursement of fees.
- Some employers also have Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) to assist with mental health needs (please inquire with your employer regarding the availability of such services).
- We do NOT do Direct Billing to your Insurance Company at the moment.
- Payment is due at the end of each session and you will receive a receipt for Psychological Services to submit to your Insurance Company for re-imbursement if apply.
- We offer a Wait List (Cancellation List) which you can add yourself to on the Online Booking Site so you may be able to be seen sooner than the appointment you booked. Sometimes, you might be offered an appointment the next day or within a week
CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS OFFICE POLICY
When you book your appointment, your appointment time will be held exclusively for you, this means that this space in the calendar is no longer available to our other clients. In order to be respectful of your fellow clients, please notify us as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.
If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 48 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another client access to that appointment time. Missed appointments or cancellations made within less than 48 hours period will be charged with the full scheduled time according to the hourly rate.
